Choosing a case.

When choosing a case, a few things to consider would be amount of foam protection, your items will need to make the trip or shipment safely and in one piece. The size and weight of the item and the amount of foam needed to ensure safe transportation, directly effect the size of the case. This can sometimes cause problems when working with constraints such as airline baggage restrictions. Our case design team can help you design a custom case for the maximum amount of protection, while staying within size constraints whenever possible.
Occasionally the size or weight of an item make it impractical to try to check in as baggage and require air freight. For instance if your item is 15 x 15 x 20 and weighs 43 pounds, its going to be tough to find a case large enough to fit the item and still come in under 50 pounds. Or if the item is 36 x 10 x 15 we could make a case for the item, but once the wall thicknesses are added up it becomes oversized dimensionally, and would have no foam protection. Some airlines will let you pay extra for overweight check-in baggage (usually 10.00 a pound) some will not. Same with dimensions, if your borderline 62 inches (L+ W + H) you may, or may not get it on the plane. Its always a good idea to call and ask the airline your flying with, if you're concerned about size limitations and overage fees, as all airlines are not the same.
Aside from size and weight restrictions, maybe you need a larger case, but need it to be manageable. We can make cases that weigh approximately 1/3 less than a standard ATA case. We can include pull out handles and recessed casters when necessary as well as 4 regular casters if needed. Our design team is happy to help you with designing a case to fit your needs.
